The OLED draws more battery than traditional displays. Maybe setting a dark theme can reduce power consumption like on a phone. I'm just sad that ASUS routinely lies about screen brightness, they'll advertise 500 nits peak brightness, then read the fine print its actually 400 in SDR content, then third parties measure it and its even lower than 400. I need the higher brightness because I want to use it outdoors in the shade so this is a no go for me.

I hate to say it, but you probably should buy an IPS. In general OLEDs are not as bright as IPS. IPS is better for outdoor usage. Thats probably why you got a thumbs down.
