Only the commentaries. You need to buy the individual BluRay sets of LotR or Hobbit to get the Appendices where the meat of the extra features are.

Save $9.50 via Gruv - https://slickdeals.net/f/18440176
VERY nice deal for "12" movies since you're getting both the extended and theatrical.

The digital copy in Fandango, probably also Apple, has the special features. I'm wonder if the digital copy is still valid to redeem.

I bought the 4k set for LOTR last year. Those 4k discs are bare bones on special features. And each movie is split across 2 discs. Not exactly the optimal viewing experience.

It should be. Think this is a newer set and the image of the box says the digital can be redeemed until 3/31/2027.

TBF the extended edits are some long azz movies. Awesome though ofc.

I would argue rather have two disc than some three layered single disc.
They are also good positioned snack/restroom break on a 3+ hour movie.

I have the special features on BD, don't need them in 4k especially if there would be an extra cost.
