I wish it was half this price and a 3 movie collection of the extended cuts lol. I don't ever need the Hobbit. I could cancel HBO Max if I had x cuts of the lotr trilogy.

Well if you only need/want LOTR, then it's $52 from various sellers. We've seen in less in the past but this would save you $20.

I also did that $30 buy... And I still bought the 4K physical. I can't stand the occasional PQ quality downgrade when streaming it, or the caching if my Internet is being crappy. This is just one of those movie sets I wanted to own. But to each their own, of course.

With my 77" C4 OLED and surround sound and UB420 player, I like to believe I notice an improvement in sound and picture.

It was $80 for a split second. The $71 is accurate as it stands now. Sorry for getting peoples' hopes up.

Nope - only audio commentaries I believe.

Over time I've acquired 3 movie Blu-Ray sets (4k ultra HD) of both Hobbit and LoTR. Both came with special discs and commentaries and they are beautiful. I spent less than 30$ for each (I'm sure I got them both for just over 20 but I'm being very conservative). Considering this, the price shown here to combine all the movies in one cardboard enclosure doesn't sound like it is worth 50 to 70% more? I think not.

Bought this via their ebay store plus Harry Potter 4k collection. Took off an extra 15%.

I believe the 48fps versions were ever only in theaters.
