2 mile range sucks because you want 10-15 mile range to get 5 mile talking

Just received the USB-C versions of these yesterday and they'll probably get returned. No battery charge indicator and no display. Better options in this price range IMO.

I just tested and it's still working. Make sure it's the correct seller and if anything type out the code.

If using these while traveling in cars on the road, will these work if the cars are close enough?

I'm not sure about this model specifically, but I have used these types to success on longish road trips with a car club. That was their main use case.

They should. I've used ones like this for that specific reason.

Great deal and the reviews are insanely high. Mini usb does suck A LOT (who the hell still uses mini usb), but I bought some 1 to 4 usb-c splitter cables and usb-c to mini usb adapters, so I can charge all of them at once, then reuse the cable when/if I replace the walkie talkies.

From the reviews, I think the range is actually accurate vs other radios. I'd take this over a "10-15" mile range no-name walkie talkie.

I don't know about this, but I will say that I bought my kids some used multi-mile range Cobra FRS radios off eBay.. they're awesome. I think I paid $20 for 3x and I get a solid mile range in the burbs from inside the house.
