I remember maybe 6 years ago or so when there was a deal posted for the Polk Magnifi Mini being clearanced out of Walmart for $45 each. I managed to get one from a store where the employees working in electronics didn't even know they sold them because they were locked in a cage in the back of the store. I've sold it since then but those sound bars were amazing and I'll always regret not holding on to it for its Chromecast functions.

I think Polk knew what they had and when they released the AX model, they banked on the popularity of the original by driving the price was too high. All of that being said, if you can find an original in good condition, it is still an excellent purchase even today.
