Rtings has reviewed the U8Q with a mixed usage score of 8.2; QM8K review has not been released yet.

Actually I stand corrected - they haven't reviewed the 2025 QM8K yet...so not sure if the score will be the same or not. I'll update my previous post to remove that comment.

What sucks about qm8k is that it's arc port is not 2.1, meaning when you connect AVR to it, you would have to connect PC and Console to the only other 2 2.1 ports on the TV to get VRR, instead of connecting then to AVR...

Not a great comparison because QM7K is newer tech. But, rtings has last year's QM851G and the QM7K rated with the same test. Assuming QM8K is going to be better than QM851G.

Overrall rtings on gaming:
QM851G - 8.4
QM7K - 7.8

However on lag
QM851G - 8.4
QM7K - 8.8

When you look at the numbers in game mode, almost the exact same though. Depends on what you want. I think both will be great. I'm seeing if I can wait until the end of the year and grab the 98QM8K.

99% of the reviewers clain the 2025 model QM8Ks are comparable to Sony's top of the line TVs. That is a huge jump up from the 2024 models.
