Good deal for a college student. Induction is better but for a small cooker that's ceramic, not much of a difference unless you eat rice infrequently or forget about it.

Is the counter space footprint worth it? I'm not sure why this is better or easier than just putting it in a pot with some water. Can anyone tell me why they use this?
