✅ Good / Beneficial Ingredients
Generally safe, natural, or may offer health or flavor benefits in small amounts:

Water – Clean hydration base.

Tomato Paste – Source of lycopene (antioxidant), vitamins A & C.

Dried Garlic – Antimicrobial, supports immune health.

Dried Onion – Adds flavor, some antioxidant properties.

Paprika – Contains capsaicin and antioxidants.

Chile Powder – Anti-inflammatory compounds.

Chipotle Pepper – Smoked pepper, adds flavor and antioxidants.

Tamarind – Natural souring agent, contains polyphenols (antioxidants).

Spices – Often anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich.

⚠️ Neutral / Context-Dependent Ingredients
Safe in moderation but could be problematic in excess or for sensitive individuals:

Distilled Vinegar – Generally safe; acidic and can irritate some stomachs.

Salt – Essential but too much = blood pressure & stomach cancer risk.

Brown Sugar, Cane Sugar, Molasses – Better than HFCS but still added sugars; excess sugar = cancer risk, insulin resistance.

Corn Starch – Processed carb; no major harm, but low in nutrients.

Tapioca Dextrin – Processed carb; used as a thickener/filler. Low concern unless consumed frequently.

Guar Gum – Plant-based thickener; may cause bloating/gas in some.

Xanthan Gum – Fermented thickener; similar GI effects as guar gum.

❌ Bad / Concerning Ingredients
Heavily processed, may contain hidden risks, or promote inflammation:

Corn Syrup – Highly refined sugar; spikes insulin, may promote metabolic disease and cancer risk.

Natural Smoke Flavor – Can contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are known carcinogens when isolated or concentrated.

Natural Flavors – Vague term that can include dozens of lab-made compounds. Lack of transparency and can include solvents or additives with toxicity concerns.

📋 Summary (Forum List Format)
✅ Good:

Tomato paste, garlic, onion, paprika, chipotle pepper, chile powder, tamarind, spices – Flavorful and antioxidant-rich.

⚠️ Neutral:

Salt, vinegar, brown/cane sugar, molasses, corn starch, dextrin, gums – Okay in moderation, but some gut or sugar concerns.

❌ Bad:

Corn syrup – High-glycemic, promotes fat storage and inflammation.

Natural smoke flavor – May contain PAHs (carcinogens).

Natural flavors – Catch-all label, can hide questionable chemicals.

This is 3.99 at my local grocery store. It's not bad but I prefer Terry Black's. Less sweet to me and great smokiness.
