If you buy directly from Dyson same price and they actually throw in 1 or 2 more attachments for free.

AND they're offering 10% off if you're a new customer with text signup (validated, works) which also pairs with 10% back from various cash back offers

Unfortunately, Dyson makes cheap, plastic vacuums that break easily.
Often, when you try to get parts for them, they're non existent, or out of stock for months at a time.
If you're looking to save money, get a Shark Navigator when they're on sale.
If you want a good vacuum, get a Miele, Sebo, or Riccar.

I've been thru 3 of them over the course of 7 years. Its always the motorized brush head that stops working for me. And the replacement cost is $130 to $170. Just buy a new vacuum for that price.

I have that shark and it's garbage. Filters are terrible and you could replace them weekly. Bad dust separation and messy. Dyson feels like cheap plastic but it's not and way better suction and dust separation

Nowadays, most stuff is planned obsolescence. Expect it to not last more than 2-3 years

Our (AC/)DC11 is at the decade mark. I had one repair on the switchover valve between the head and the handle, it was a $20 part and took about 30 minutes (without guidance).

I'm a convert. If Dyson has a major weak point, it's the batteries on the cordless models, but at least they have a 2-3 year warranty, cheap generics, and also conversion kits for common household Li-ion batteries.

Dyson warranty is terrible these days and I think the product quality is probably starting to follow, as is usual for these companies once they start cutting corners.
Had the motorized head start to have serious issues and they wouldn't just send a new head. Made me ship the entire unit in. I could understand and did. However, they somehow ended up shipping the unit back to a 6 year old address in a different state that didn't match any of the information provided. I also found out about this after 6 weeks of being told it was still being repaired, and that they lied when they told me it was still being repaired a few days after it was actually delivered and was told to continue waiting. Then they blamed me despite showing them all the previous transcripts and told me to drive to the next state and get it. Finally got them to cut that out and they asked for me to wait another few weeks while they did a UPS investigation. After about 10 weeks without the vacuum they finally sent me a new replacement vacuum, but I spent quite a few hours dealing with them and UPS to get to that point.
At this point I would probably only consider buying Dyson through Costco or Sam's Club where I could just return the unit rather than dealing with their incompetent repair/warranty system. Granted then the price is probably too high to be worth it.

Dyson of 11 years ago isn't Dyson of today. Just look at the reviews for their latest vacuums. You'll find many that say the quality is worse than their older Dyson vacuum that they are replacing. At a minimum their customer service is about as bad as it can get based on my recent experience, which reading around is pretty typical since they started outsourcing a few years ago.

I kind of liked concept of Miele's motor brush head where they embedded motor into the brush head itself for faster RPM's but curios how long the soft bristles of the brush head last..I mean the brush bristles might fall way leaving a with just a motor head and no brush.....do you know how they fixed that problem???....

Hey Dyson doesn't have motorized head.....do ur research.....the brush rotates with help of powerful compressed pressurized air....motorized brush head is from Miele and it costs 1000$ for a start.....
