Their cages and grips are handy. For table top though I went with the ulanzi mt-24 on sale at amazon for half the cost of this smallrig one.

I have this and it works well with my aps-c setup. The bundled video head can be removed to reveal a 5/8" thread so you can use any other compatible head. This price is on par with other brand carbon fiber desktop tripods with included heads.
