Heads up for anyone considering or who already bought this speaker, Oluv (same guy who tuned the Earfun speakers) made some custom EQs for this speaker which you can buy for $5.50 from his patreon (https://www.patreon.com/oluvsone/...ngs-171292)

Haven't tried them myself but I've enjoyed his EQs for the Earfun speakers so figure this might help eek some better sound out!

I'm running a pair of these in my backpack on my rollerblades and they definitely pack a punch when you combine them. alone I think they're a little weak but a pair of them is pretty powerful.

it's designed for carrying a set of rollerblades. it's made by a rollerblade accessory manufacturer. I just strapped them both in and it's fantastic. last night I did the full moon ride with about a hundred people. I often roll with bicycle riders. and I turned on the lighting system on the speakers. It was really cool. I'd never used that feature before but everyone else is lit up so I thought it'd be fun.

The original boom is $69. is it worth the extra $20 to get the boom 2?

I still have an old pair of motion booms from 2021. They're fine. In fact according to Alan Ross he actually prefers the sub bass in the older speakers. It's hard to find neutral reviews about this because they are so aggressive with their affiliate program. But I do like soundcore products for the most part. I've had the motion boom the motion plus, q30, life u2, Liberty 3 pro, life nc neckband.

I think the original boom is tuned better. But you might want to see a video by Alan Ross because he says in recent years it's not tuned the same as it used to be. I think the newer speaker is has some advantages like a 3.5 jack and multi-point. I do think the old one sounds better. But I'm a little worried that the newer motion booms are made with different drivers and totally different tuning and a different firmware update.

So it's hard to know your best bet would be to buy them both test them out and maybe return the one you don't like.

Love this speaker. Seriously loud. At less than half volume outside I feel I might be jamming too loud for my neighbors.
