Kinda meh because it's ryzen first gen (zen+) from 2019. It has radeon Vega 8 which is still decent today. https://www.techpowerup.com/cpu-s...lFoundries.

How is it meh when the processor, despite being 5-6 years old, is still much powerful than the N97, N100, and 150, which are usually found around this price. Instead of just saying it's an old processor, it would have been much better and more helpful if you had also compared it with other options we have around this price. This is much better than other options you'd get at this price.

Is this good enough for steam games and what is the likelihood of malware shipped with this unit?

If you want to play Steam games, I'd at least step up to this one:
https://slickdeals.net/f/18441451-prime-bosgame-p3-lite-mini-pc-ryzen-7-6800h-24gb-ddr5-1tb-pcie-ssd-4k-triple-display-usb4-dual-2-5g-lan-wi-fi-6e-bt5-2-305-99

It's shipping from China so there's a non-zero chance of malware. But you can always wipe it and install a fresh version of Windows, or you could maybe run SteamOS on it if you plan to use Steam anyways.

Power efficiency is probably the biggest issue of this vs a n100/n150. Really depends on what you're doing. Also the n100/n150 has Intel quicksync which is used to transcode videos if your into Plex and such. It is vastly superior as this chip will require you to software transcode. Good luck getting more than 1 4k transcode using software.
