You gotta be kidding me!!!!!! I bought one in April and loved it. Then I was waiting for something like this to go on sale for prime day and I didnt see much, so I bought a different one just 2 days ago!!! Now this?!!!!! My luck!!!!!!!

You should get an arrestor, to deal with the water hammer. And yes it's possible that it is damaging things. It can convey an incredible amount of force.
