34" ultrawide is awesome for home office. Side by side open windows look great at that aspect ratio. And higher refresh rates make moving windows around very smooth. I don't know about this monitor specifically, but assuming it doesn't have dead pixels, I'm sure it's great. Most Dell monitors are very solid.

Hey I have about 30 of these at my office, these are awesome work monitors, they don't look like cheesy gaming monitors either. Text is very clear! A steal at this price, prices bounce around a lot through the year and I mostly buy the used ones.

The Dell S3422DWG is a good monitor for office use. It has good text clarity, and its 34-inch size is large enough to open multiple windows side-by-side. It has good brightness and reflection handling, so you won't have any issues using it in a brighter room. However, it has unremarkable ergonomics and narrow viewing angles, making sharing your screen with others difficult.

PROS
Very good peak brightness in SDR.
Superb SDR color gamut.
Ultrawide format.
CONS
Narrow viewing angles.
Unremarkable ergonomics.
No USB-C.

Mine shipped and should arrive in the next 12 hours or so. I hope it works for my setup. I hadn't realized exactly how large a 34-in Ultra wide monitor is until I saw one the other day in Costco. Beginning to think I should have gone with a 32 in 4k monitor instead but we'll see.

Edit: Received earlier today. I set it up a couple of hours ago. Initial impressions are positive so far.
