I was also laughing at the USB 2.0 classification, but it could be related to the shell material being too thermally constricted. (Flash drive would easily overheat when being actively used)

Funny enough, this could be a good OS drive for UnRaid, since the stick is plugged in 24/7/365 and the usb 3 sticks get sooo hot, even when just in idle.

3.0 would've been tempting, but alas.

The killdozer of storage. Very slow, very bulletproof.

I never ran unraid, but the cheapest, crappiest drives I had did fine with nas4free 24/7 for ages and never overheated. If unraid makes a flash drive hot, unraid has problems. The OS should load into RAM, and the drive should only be touched after that for config changes.

As long as it's reliable I don't care if it's slower.

Well, for $5, you can drive over it, throw it in the bathtub and put it in the oven to test it. That's fun evening of entertainment.

Sometimes a 2.0 is what you want for booting. Oddest thing sometimes.
