shouldn't! I have quite a few eufy items and none require a month fee, etc.
Generally there is NO subscription required for any of the smart locks for other brands too unless it has video camera features.
you can try asking customer support for the difference reimbursement, but it's much easier to just return and buy again.

Blows away my old Z-Wave Schlage Camelot. Works with Matter. If you don't need the video feed, this is a great price for a new tech lock.

Does this require any monthly subscription?
No but the app is littered with ads. I'm done with Eufy because of this. Beware
I am hoping that the palm unlock may be more reliable than the fingerprint for people whose fingerprints don't register (think it is dry skin or something).
