We have an older version and there is no subscription. One of the things we really like about eufy.

shouldn't! I have quite a few eufy items and none require a month fee, etc.

Generally there is NO subscription required for any of the smart locks for other brands too unless it has video camera features.

you can try asking customer support for the difference reimbursement, but it's much easier to just return and buy again.

I picked up the Max video camera version of this lock and love it. Palm recognition is quick and convenient. The app is easy to use and allows loading new codes into it easily.

Blows away my old Z-Wave Schlage Camelot. Works with Matter. If you don't need the video feed, this is a great price for a new tech lock.

Thank you! Have the Eufy lock with the fingerprint reader but my wife's fingerprint does not register (on her phone or at the gym login either). This will be phenomenal if it works. And the matter compatibility is great. Will use it with my Samsung Hub to set up auto unlock when we get home into wifi range.

anyone know how well the palm unlock works vs fingerprint versions or even just punching a code? is it a gimmick or useful

No but the app is littered with ads. I'm done with Eufy because of this. Beware

I am hoping that the palm unlock may be more reliable than the fingerprint for people whose fingerprints don't register (think it is dry skin or something).

for what it's worth, I have the full security suite just about and use the app many times daily to check on cameras etc... I see exactly zero ads, sometimes there is a request to do a survey but it's a tiny blurb at the bottom of the app with a simple X to ignore it... not sure what that reviewer would be doing diff5
