The review on this sledge hammer shootout says this sledge hammer is the best splurge purchase. The 12lb weight is not the only one on sale, but 10 and 12 are the most useful head weights. A 36" handle length is the most commonly used, tallest people might want longer for more power at the expense of control, shorter handles are used for more control.
