I got a green one from a recent deal at woot. It looked ok, but battery would not hold a charge for more than a few minutes, and it would not pair. Waste of time. My experience is that Woot refurbished stuff is more trouble than it is worth. This has happened with other items I have bought from Woot.

I bought one last week with the extra $5 off. Heads up to those considering it. It arrived couple days later from UPS, shipped by a company called "click go and buy". The keyboard is in excellent condition, with nearly no wear at all (like shiny keys which I would hate). Just some minor scuffs on the bottom plastic. The aluminum top and all the keys are in nearly new condition. This of course is YMMV, but I rolled the dice as it's 2/3 off the retail price. The battery was completely dead when it arrived. Charged it up with no issue and a week later it's still at 88%.

No. It's the lightning version which I prefer since my trackpad and mouse are the lightning version also.

I definitely lucked out, and on this keyboard definitely a dice roll.

I bought 2 other refurb items from Woot. One was an air purifier and the other a steam mop. If they were sold as new I wouldn't have questioned it, other than shipping in a plain brown box.

Same experience. Left it charging overnight. While plugged in the OS claimed it's at 100% charge. After unplugging it, bluetooth disconnected and when I plugged it back in, the battery is at 3% and wouldn't connect unless it's plugged in.
Setting up a return is also frustrating since the keyboard has a li-ion battery, you need to contact Woot via email instead of going through the standard process.

I remember when refurb worked for me. I didn't know that I was lucky in the early 2000's with my Nike armband mp3 player and 12" powered infinity subwoofer.. of course I've gotten a couple of decent refurbished items in the past 20 years but generally, the scammers entered the chat and now I have a better hit rate in Vegas.

Y'all let them gaslight everyone into believing it was a broad term. Used to be reburbished meant restored to new, open box meant opened new, used meant used with grades. Factory or manufacture refurbished meant restored to new. Used to complain about it all the time, even on here, but most no one cared because they probably abused the terms on ebay themselves. Now it's all absolutely pointless, even "new".Moreso now "new" items are not new.
