Differences Between Sizes And Variants

The 83-inch model shares a lot of similarities with the LG C4 OLED. It uses LG's Alpha 9 AI Processor Gen7, supports a 144Hz refresh rate, has three USB ports, and has a 2.2 channel speaker system, all of which are the same as the C4. Due to these shared features, we expect the 83-inch model to perform more in line with the C4. However, it doesn't have LG's Brightness Booster technology like the C4 does, so it isn't as bright overall.

It is the image processor that is the same, motion, color, all that. Not the processor that controls the apps and whatnot. The A9 chip. That and 144hz refresh rate, among the other things listed above.

WebOS is what you are talking about about. It is not the worst among TVs but it is far from the best. But I imagine the B4/C4 would have the same version of WebOS, although the 42 and 48 sizes of the C4 are under models that are missing at least some of the features of the bigger models, so it is possible they have a difference in application WebOS processing power, but I don't know. My 83" B4 is snappy and works fine, for now. Will probably add a shield or apple TV down the line if I need to.

I have a 42" c4 and that processor seems useless for opening up something as simple as the settings menu lol. It takes about 6 seconds for the menu to pop up.

Our LG CX TV from 2000 opens up the menu in 1-2 seconds.

My local Store has the display for sale for 1800, can I stack the $200 with that?

For 200 less you gonna worry about burn in. Especially with display TV's see how many hours on it.

I think the GC is for online orders only.

Lg warranties the panel for life against burn in, and it comes with a 5 year warranty, if I can stack the 200gc with the display discount that's a pretty slick deal.

I wish rtings.com would test the UI out more thoroughly. Seems like something that could make or break user experiences. Like how they test OLED burn ins after x amount of months/years. Would be nice if they test the slowness of the UI after x amount of years/months

I second this. I have the c5 and it takes forever for the settings menu to come up.
