You're right, for a home use, this doesn't make as much sense, it's just a COOLER, but for travel...
Also, show us a compressor based one this small. The smallest I've ever seen without paying INSANE money for a custom job is the standard "dorm size" cube, and some people think that's too big (I don't, I love dorm and double-dorm size for office use, have used them for decades at work).
Also, if you like projects, you can always get one of these and add another layer of peltiers to increase the cooling. And power use, of course.
