All my Orients have been good watches. Nice looking, too.

Excellent value for a good "entry" to automatics. I have the older version, love it.

Love my original in orange with the crown at 2 to change the date. Still running strong

One of the most under-rated and not on the radar of the watch snobs. Best "value" watch out there in my opinion.

The blue dial is slightly more expensive and has luminescence. Which one is better?

Only downside to this is the crystal is not sapphire so it will scratch more easily, but for the price point it will be hard to get a sapphire crystal. Pretty solid price

I have a similar model in blue (RA-AA0818L19B) and love it. I had to regulate it a little bit but keeps excellent time. I think it's just a matter of preference on the color. My model cost more, but I got it because of the sapphire.

One thing to note is that the metal band is not that good. I bought it knowing that, though, and replaced it with a rubber strap.

This a great watch. I've had this same Mako II since 2019. I bought a replacement bracelet from strapcode.com and swapped out the crystal with sapphire from usa.crystaltimes.net; the sapphire i got was double-domed and had a nice anti-reflective coating to it to give it a little character when reflecting in the right light. Since doing these mods, this watch has been my daily driver and wear it everywhere and do everything with it on my wrist.
