I see a lot of cheaper prices Air Canada offering from the U.S. to Japan on Google Flights, but you have to be careful about Air Canada cheap flights because they don't include check-in luggage. I can do with one check-in luggage, but having 0 check-in luggage included when traveling to Japan is very hard thing to do. I want to bring all the goodies home from Japan.

I don't think you understood what I was trying to say in my first comment.

I did not say the deal you posted was bad. Actually, I appreciate you finding and sharing airplane tickets deals.

However, when you fly internationally, people should consider what services are included in the cheap tickets and how much the additional service like extra check-in luggage costs, instead of just focuaing the initial cheap price.

Air Canda flight may look cheap but since it doesn't include check-in luggage, customers need to think first if that is something they are OK with. I am sure some people are totally fine with it, but others may not be.

No longer so. (About 2 check-in luggage included as requirement for international flights.)

My upcoming United Airline flight to Japan includes only 1 check-in luggage (and carry-on and personal item).

We are living in the world where everything is optional and added fees.

The flight I have in my example screenshot is $757 if purchased directly from air Canada. You try it

I thought US departing international flights were required to offer 2 checked bags?

I'd be leery of flying Air Canada just because they suck. 4x I have booked flights with them while traveling in Canada. Not once did I actually get the flight schedule that I paid for.

4 trips to Japan and zero time check-in a luggage. Be a slick traveller not only a slick shopper!

What I sometimes do is go with a backpack and carry-on suitcase on my way out, and shove a duffle bag inside the suitcase. On my way back, the backpack and duffle bag become my carry-on, and I check the suitcase. Tolerable if I only have to pay for one way checked bag. However, I often find that return flights are full, and they'll check a bag for free anyway due to limited overhead space.

If there is no check in luggage included for this deal, it's better to go with Zipair. They got some flight deals for September to October right now.

Pack lightly and learn to use laundromats or find hotels/airbnbs that include washing machines. My trip last November I packed 7 days worth of clothes for a three week trip to South Korea and Tokyo.
