The lower the R (radius) number, the stronger the curve. It also relates to the ideal viewing distance. So in this case, the ideal viewing distance is 1 meter.

experts, I have a question on this model. I got the g7 UHD 32" and this model and I always connect my macbook m4 on them for work.because of scaling in MacBook I always use the 2560x1440 resolution with both the monitors using hdmi. Can someone tell me why my text is so much sharper on the g7 model than this one using the same cable and same resolution?

Unless you are using a 3rd party tool to force a fixed resolution, MacOS is most likely running both monitors at their native resolution and then adjusting the scaling to replicate the DPI of your selected resolution.
As in the UHD G7 monitor is running at 4k at 150% or similar scaling so it looks like 1440p, resulting in sharper text than the G55c running at 1440p natively.

Why? Viewing angles? Color? Does that matter with spreadsheets and documents?

You can use VA for productivity work without any issues whatsoever.

Only thing I wouldn't use for productivity work is an OLED. Because if you use Excel all day every day like I do, you WILL get burn in on it, no matter the brand. Plus the OLED whites always either looked like a sickly yellow or too over the top white that they hurt my eyes. I thought that was a myth until I experienced it first hand with 3 different OLEDs.

Idk what kinda spreadsheets you do, but I'm an accountant and could not imagine doing spreadsheets on a curved monitor. Would drive me insane.

I've used curved monitors for years. 1000r is on the lower side for curves, not too aggressive. If the monitor is 27" I prefer flat but anything over I prefer curved. It's much easier to look at without turning your head and it has never been difficult for me to read or use spreadsheets on even the higher 1500r monitors.

I use a 32" Neo G7 daily and I love Samsung VA panels. The 4K makes a big difference for me.
I was using a 1440P Corsair Oled and I just didn't care for it for everyday use. It is nice for gaming though.
