While this does have a single USB port, the expansion unit ONLY works with the River 3 PLUS (not "all River 3 series").

So if you buy the River 3 plus for $219 and this, you're in $380 for 572wh but it makes the unit 18lbs. You can get a refurb River 2 pro which has 768Wh and weighs the same for less. Granted that's refurb vs new, but these expansion batteries are overpriced even on sale.
