I have had the 15° f rated version of this for years. it's EXCELLENT for the money. Synthetic fill so it holds warmth when wet, packs small and easy to use. it is a 5/10 difficulty to pack back into its stuff sack. Not impossible like some, but not a casual job either. It takes me about 3 solid minutes of fighting to get it in, but I have never failed to fit it in as designed.Head area is thoughtful for frigid temps.I have used the 15° F version in temps as low as the mid 20s overnight, with proper layering I was comfortable enough to sleep. This is far too warm for anything above ~55° F. You will swelter.

In for 2 at this price. 0F are going to be bulky and situational. But for winter car camping, hell yeah. btw reviewers call these a great budget bag, just heavy and bulk for days! UL types look elsewhere.

Purchased one of these a couple years back open box for 70 and have been very happy with it, have camped with it a couple times where the temps got down to the high 20s / low 30s and stayed very warm in it. "Ultralight" is definitely misleading, think the one I have is rated 0F and it's certainly too bulky / heavy to take backpacking, but these are perfect for car camping in colder weather and a steal for 50.

Fine for car camping. Too heavy for backpacking at 4 lbs unless you want a hard workout

For unseasoned campers, a mummy is best for backpacking. If you're car camping or using this for backyard stuff, get a square foot box bag. Squares also unzip nicely to make full blankets and throws.

Ok good price.... I like their quality for an intro bag, or for a boy scout. We have one of their 20F Trailheads.
  • Warning - short is really short. Don't believe their height range. Despite 2 of my 3 kids being under the height call out for the short, only my 10yo can use it and it's kinda tight. Short is for little kids. There are even reviews on their site complaining about their sizing.
  • Temp ratings - All sleeping bag ratings per ISO Standard assume that you are using them with an sleeping pad of AT LEAST A 3.0 R value. Guess what, unless you have spent some time researching and money on your pad setup, no it's not anywhere close. You can not use these without a pad and expect them to work at the ratings.

From their website - " *The ratings we use are Survival Temperature Ratings, this is the coldest temperature the sleeping bag is designed to keep you alive in, but it doesn't guarantee comfort. At the lowest point, you might be shivering or experience discomfort. For comfort ratings, we suggest adding 20-30 degrees from the listed rating."

So 0F really means 25F reality (still with a 3R value pad)

what temperature rating would you recommend if using this indoor use while travelling/backpacking?
