if you don't have MC near you, just price match it at best buy and pick it up basically anywhere

Incorrect. Best buy asks for your zip for shipping and/or store pickup while checking to see if you actually have MC in your zip. I don't have MC where I am so they refuse to price match on 5 different occasions.

Really? I'm in arizona and got two chat specialists to price match microcenter. There's a new microcenter opening later this year in phoenix but I'm sure they didn't verify that before price matching since the next closest is like 400 miles away lol

You can also see it newegg will price match MC like BB. The 9800x3d is still $399 at MC.

Not true. I had BB match a Mac mini before MC opened one up in Santa Clara. It really comes down to the agent you are speaking with.

I price matched BB a 7800x3d last year before MC opened near me with no issue.

Newegg policy isn't to price match microcenter, so YMMV there. They often have combo deals, like the MSI X870E Carbon, which paired with this is a great X870E, 9800X3D, and starter ram for about $860. You can't really replicate that at Microcenter or Best Buy, but you can get similar deals.

They had a ton of deals during the Fantastech so you could potentially ask for the difference back if you bought one.

YMMV by each chat specialists. Best Buy didn't even ask me for my zip code when I was price matching. They only asked for both the Best Buy SKU and Microcenter SKU. After verifying if both SKUs matched, they successfully price matched and only then did they ask me for Name, E-mail, and Phone #. Never once did they ask me for my zip code.
If it's unsuccessful the first time, just close the chat and get someone else.
