The general consensus on reddit (specifically r/mk) is that Epomaker should be avoided.

Thanks for the heads up. This correlates with my own research of this brand.
Any suggestions for what is a good choice that goes on sale at times; say $100 (on sale) price point, with soft-sounding mech keys, like this Epomaker keyboard?

I'm not well versed in the mechanicalkeyboard space anymore, but if you want something that just works Keychron is a great choice.

In addition to Keychron, I'd take a look at Nuphy

Dang, I saw the thumbnail and was hoping for good reviews. Anyone have a recommendation for a similarly priced tenkeyful mech kb? Gaming response not a requirement.

I guess it's the luck of the draw, I bought an Epomaker AULA F75 leobog reaper switches and all i did was switch out the keycaps for something more rounded. I've had that keyboard since May 2024 and I game with it and it still works great. I get compliments on the thocky sounds and i ended up getting the Epomaker F99 AULA with graywood switches for my spouse in June 2024 and they love it as well. I'm sure there are some duds out there, but our 2 keyboards have been solid. Maybe it's the AULA collaboration?

I disagree—I'm a mechanical keyboard snob and I love mine. I've been using it for about 6 months, 8 hours a day. I did swap out the switches for some cherry red equivalents since I'm a bit too heavy-handed when resting my hands and it was triggering key presses accidentally.I haven't used the Bluetooth or 2.4Ghz mode since I prefer to just keep it simple with USB. So not sure if the bad reviews are related to wireless functionality.

I have the Rt100 and the 75 max. 100% recommended. OP probably just got a lemon and it happens to the best product as well.

Older thread where it banned reviews. There are enough popular keyboard YouTubers and enthusiasts that would now disagree and many endorse their products now. Are they high end? Mostly not, but they're a great way to get people into the hobby.

I have two EPOMAKER + Leobog Hi 86 and this is a very decent stock keyboard with good switch and thock sound. Not sure if the actual maker is Leobog that has decent quality? I have tried multiple Keychron Low Profile Keyboard and they are overrated and their stablizers are not decent at all. Their Q series are also have room to improve.

I stay clear of Nuphy after seeing all they do is pay influencers to talk positive about their boards. But when it comes to actual reviewers.. they refuse to send them items to test.

Aula is pretty good, Ducky, Keychron, stay away from patriot, Ajazz is Aula, Royal is another one but the Aula is the best bang for buck. At 80 for a wireless full size hot swappable

Really wish one of these companies would make a competitor to the Keychron Q13 Max. I got the Keychron Alice 75 on sale last month and it's great but as much as I love the mechanical keys, compared to the MS ergonomic it's replacing, it's a tradeoff. $250 for that Max...such a steep price for full Alice.

I got my Royal Kludge M75 a few weeks back and loved it after I swapped out the keys. It feels so good to type on, I finally understand why cats have scratching posts.
