This is a good deal, but I just gave up on fitbit after having my 4th one die. I like them, but they aren't reliable. I would highly recommend buying the extended warranty on it. (I did this on my last one and at least got most of my money back.)

I like the fitibit app, but I do recommend getting an extended warranty as they can sometimes die after a year. That being said, the current one I'm using has been running strong for 2-years.

Some recommendations, don't wear the watch swimming or in the shower. There are threads about the watch breaking after going swimming despite its water resistance.

I've had 3 fitbit Charges from the 4 through the 6. All have done well for a year plus on each one. The key to keeping these lasting a long time is not wearing it in the shower (I know it's waterproof, but just don't) And keeping the battery from going below 20%... They last a long time if you take care of them. Like any li-ion device they have sitting below 20 or above 80% battery. Battery will last much longer if you avoid these ranges as mcuh as possible. I charge for short periods when I can (example when in shower, and have no problem keeping them in that range.)

Looks like typical Fitbit quality and lack of longevity. I went through two Fitbits over the course of several years and never again. These should last at least 4-5 years, not 2-3 years.

Like others I was a Fitbit fan until my charge 5 which would routinely lose heart rate after about 7 months I upgraded to the six because it was advertised as having a much better heart rate sensor etc etc at 6 months in it would routinely tell me I had no heart rate when working out and then more and more frequently when sitting quietly despite never being exposed to water. Since it was well within the warranty I chatted with fitbit's customer support for the better part of a month with them claiming various things such as I'd never reset the watch, the watch is working perfectly fine, etc. Then when I sent pictures and videos of me resetting the watch and it still showing no heart rate on my wrist despite being alive they marked the support request as completed due to no reply from customer. This was after Google purchased Fitbit and apparently their customer service took a huge nose dive from online comments. I strongly recommend you consider a different product the app is nice for adding food but if you really care about heart rate monitoring this is not the device for you. I'm quite happy with my Galaxy 6 classic from wally world for about the price I paid for the Fitbit back in the day (plus 2 yr extended warranty.) As others have warned you get the extended warranty (offered by another company and not Fitbit) as it will start to fail eventually but I strongly recommend you do not support this company / product.

These are great… when they work. Both of my two(!) Charge 5s and Charge 6 died and Google/Fitbit just give you then runaround when you try to warranty them. If you want a smartwatch for 6-12 months, buy this, otherwise forget it.
