Price is great compared to retail. Condition says new but pictures say otherwise. At best this is a gray market lens without a warranty. Most likely it's a return. At worst they are used. Price is great compared to retail. But the sigma 35 mm 1.4 contemporary blows this lens out of the water. Sigma is single handedly keeping Sony's APS-C format alive and off of life support.

Bad comparison; this is a crop lens and the Sigma you want (which beats this, besides lacking OSS that Sony now arrogantly refuses to include anymore despite their weak-performing IBIS) is the 30mm or 56mm f/1.4 costing under $400 these days (there is no 35mm crop lens).
