They changed that a long time ago. It is all pro rated. If you return the batteries, you only get so much back now not a full refund.
That's not the hack @pottyscotty is talking about. He means when there's a "free tool" offer and you have the batteries sent to a different store, etc. Which you can definitely still do, just not on this particular deal.
I have been looking for a deal on this newer model forever in Direct Tools Outlet, etc, with the 2 batteries, this is the best price by far to date. I just bought it! Can never have enough light, and not having to deal with wires, especially in remote locations is the best benefit!

It's still a pretty sweet deal if you need batteries and another light. The "tool only" is $10 less so it's a no-brainer if you need more batteries.
And thanks to all of the positive comments about the light convinced me to pull the trigger.
Also wondering this. There's always FB Marketplace but I prefer to avoid that headache.
