If it helps, I'm a new PC gamer and don't expect to play AAA games on PC but some flexibility to do so would be nice down the road as I get more into it.

Solid, modern specs for a mid-highend gaming laptop. Well rounded, for multipurpose use + gaming. I'm partial to MSI laptops, but a buddy of mine has a ROG Strix for 4-5 years now and loves it! Still runs everything he needs it to.
1TB storage will probably be your first limitation if you start downloading big games, but it has an additional M.2 SSD slot to upgrade that easily.
