FYI - I don't believe these are leather, not even bonded. I got one in a previous sale and it's pretty clearly pleather.

If you want a belt that will last you decades instead of years or months, spend a bit more and buy a gun belt. They come in many materials including leather, most of them look like normal belts, and they've been designed to offer the support needed to carry a firearm on them. You don't need to use them for that to benefit from having a high quality belt that will last you a very long time.

I purchased this previously, and its worked well for me. Beware, if you wear your belt tight, it will pull/rip the belt where the buckle attaches to the leather. Also, as a big guy with a big belly, the belt will curve over time, and you may need to trim the belt for the buckle to get a better grip on the belt itself. For $8, is worth it.

their FAQs clearly says its leather -- not going to say they are not lying ... but most amazon customers seem happy with it

The fact that they exist at all for $6 is unbelievable enough.

At that price, it can be rat leather for all anyone should care.

Anyone know the width of this belt? Doesn't seem to say anywhere on the page.

Id argue that we should use rope. Hear me out...economical, easy to tie, comes in an assortment of colors and materials, highly available, vegan approved for California, and easy to store as well buy in bulk. 8 dollars is a few years worth and has so many other uses for example when the kid's babysitter cancels and you are a few tallboys into the evening

You definitely get what you pay for here. Forget the leather, peoples buckles all look like shit after a couple months.

I have one of these. I thought it would quickly deteriorate from ratcheting on and off. But after at least 6 months of wear and tear, it still looks just as good as new. The ratchet system is so much better than the traditional buckle. I highly recommend these. Just grabbed another one.

FYI these are not real leather. None of the rachet belts are for some reason. Not sure how they get away with lying.
