The title clearly says DC motor.
lol. no, they work on AC power.

DC motors are used on the beter ceiling fans these days. They are more efficient, quieter and can be regulated better.

I bought my first Amazon no name DC fan a couple weeks ago (similar to this but 52") The fan puts off more air then all of my store bought fans and the light is brighter. Only negative I have is the light doesn't lock in the color temperature I want. It cycles through them when you turn it on/off.

It says that in the description

3 CCT Choices & Memory Functions: This black ceiling fan offers 3 color temperature choices: 3000K Warm White, 4500K Natural White and 6000K Cool White. It also has a memory function: when you turn off the light and wait 10 seconds to turn it back on, it will still be the same color temperature as the last time you turned it on

I'm sure it is the same controller as the one I bought, below. I just wish I could lock in the color because I have kids and they will turn the light on/off rapidly so its not staying at the color I want.

Seems more like a randomly generated brand name slapped on an electrical fixture of unknown quality.

I think we've been living in that setup for the past 12 years. I trust unknown brand names just as much as American brands now. The 12 year before that, American companies simply rebranded their name on top of Chinese products and maybe did some UL testing.
