I like the idea the longer battery life and not super worried about compatibility. My concern is recall which is just a feature I want no part of. And I know I can opt out but still just to feel yucky paying for a product that's signature feature arguably is constantly spying on me

While I agree with you, our phones have been doing it for nearly 20 years with & without our consent I'm just glad Microsoft made it opt-in, not opt-out.

These new chips are requiring soldered memory for faster speed and latency. I don't like it either but it is what it is.
