This is the highest quality wall wart 140w charger that does not throttle from heat, if you need it. For example to charge an Anker SOLIX C300 DC at full power at 140W, or even two at 280W, is no easy task and after 20-30m nearly all devices throttle due to heat. Not aware of another device that will not throttle including anything from Anker itself other than their $100 on sale split power station with that huge wall wart (but being split helps with heat). Everything in their total 200W, 240W Prime charger line all throttle!

Expensive you can get an anker with more ports and compatible with more devices for this price

I'm not Apple fan, but I can say this Charger is well made it does not overheat, as any other brand, even anker Chargers fails in heat department. One of the few things Apple made right.

This lacks a lot of the common pd charging profiles, including pps which all phones now use. You're basically fast charging a MacBook only and slow charging everything else.

As a mbp 16 owner I carry the 100w cube prime anker which is lower profile and has multiple ports. I haven't experienced any throttling yet.

Have you monitored the actual wattage that each port pulls during charging? I can assure you that all my anker chargers throttle.

I use Anker 67W charger to charge my Apple M1 MB pro. When I monitor the wattage it stays at 59 W and it does not throttle, which in my opinion is pretty decent.

Yeah 67W should be okay. It's when you get above 100W that things throttle.

LOL at people trying to compare Anker with Apple. In simple terms, Anker sucks.

The Power Section of System Information tells you the wattage, but it's pretty basic info. There is also a program called AlDente which monitors the wattage in real time.

Why did they have to make it so ugly? Why only one usb port? This thing is hilariously ugly and big waste of plastic. Come on apple. Do better.

$50 for this? LOL! Why is it so massive and only has one port? The picture of it is hilarious. A huge box and one tiny usb-c port. LOL. This almost seems like a joke.
At this wattage, you WANT it to be this size. If it were tiny, it'll either throttle or burn your house down.

There is no other option for 1) efficiency 2) low idle draw 3) able to provide 140W without overheating and throttling.
This is the highest quality premium option you can buy, bar none.
