Currently playing that with my 9-year-old and having a great experience. Did you try the game the studio made before It Takes Two? Can't remember the name offhand.

I preferred It Takes Two over this one, specifically story wise. This game was still top notch and I thoroughly enjoyed it with my wife. The two characters, in terms of likes and interests, were identical to our dynamic, and naturally we played the character of our own personalities.

Hahaha , they gave us the toughest challenge, like in that new Elden Ring game: having friends.

Speaking of, this is crossplay so your friend will be able to play for free on their Nintendo switch. 2 if you buy it for PS5, it's also on PC and Xbox.

The game they made before It Takes Two is called A Way Out. They already announced they are working on their next game too. Though that game hasn't been announced yet.

Playing this now with my 10 yo daughter and 7 yo son. Both love it. We all had fun with It Takes Two as well.

I really enjoyed playing this game with my girlfriend but my god, the writing is atrocious. Every interaction is so unbelievable and awkward, the character development is predictable and cheesy, and the bad guy, supposedly an astute and ruthless businessman... well... anyway I don't want to spoil anything specific, just prepare for the game to be fun and the writing to be awful.

I felt pretty much the same way about It Takes Two too.

It takes two was funnier, but this is better overall. Could almost think of it as a sequel where they ironed out all their ideas from IT2. But different plots and characters.

If you had any doubts, while very unconventional, this is a fantastic game.

Was just $35 on Amazon last week (I just got it in the mail from that). Usual: time machine, only a few dollars, blah blah, but just providing a data point. It was during prime days I suppose. So it is trending lower. Anytime I buy a game it drops 30-50% a month later, so you're welcome all.
