it's a great deal, but for a 6 year old it might be too big for him but for $250 i guess you can live with it.

It is a good deal but I will suggest to get iPad Air for kid, it will last much longer with M3 processor and better screen

Agree that iPad Air is the superior iPad, but it's also more than double this price. I think the iPad 11 is perfect for young kids. Depending on how responsible the kid is, losing or breaking a $250 iPad hurts less compared to a $600 iPad Air.

Just FYI, studies are showing that these devices are a net positive for autistic children and certain special needs kids. My five year old son is has autism and is nonverbal and he has an ipad as a communication device and an ipad that he plays with for hours each day. We see incredible progress thanks to some of the shows he watches including learning counting from Sesame Street.

I was at an Apple store recently and they suggested this for my 8 year. Rep mentioned she does not need the more advanced iPads. This is another reason these one have more color options.

For $250, this is really good deal. I have iPad from 2018 and still runs good even tho its EOL, i finally got this model and its worth the price tag.
