Pretty sure this is a common strategy; they'll slightly change a model # precisely so price matching risk is reduced.

Nahh bruh. This deal is only $1399 with free 43" 4K worth at least $100-150 resale, free install free delivery. The costco equivilent is $1799 shipped, free install, free delivery extra 3 year warranty$300 difference? the best buy deal folks can simply BUY the extra warranty with the money saved. and still get the free tv
Or they can just rent the home Depot truck for $50 like I did, pick up the equivalent TV 100U70N at Costco for 999.97 (get the free 5 year warranty, and 100 Google card), then pay someone 100 bucks to mount it, if not doing it yourself for free.

Edit: Costco Clearance sale is over Frown

How bad is the pq on this one compared to a OLED65B7A. Would I be disappointed going from 65 OLED to this?
I went from a 77in LG CX to this TV. PQ isn't comparable, but it's still very good.
Upscaling of 1080p and lower isn't the best.... 4K is decent, HDR and dolby vision look great, but the size is unbeatable.
Well worth the change in my opinion, and now my OLED is in my game room.

Did it fit in Home Depot truck or you rented cargo van ? Did you lay it flat or vertical ?
I got the cargo van and transported it laying down. I would have preferred the box truck and standing up, but it was sold out.

Luckily nothing was wrong with the TV when we set it up

I added this to my cart open box for $900 and tried to check out three times. It kept failing and then the open box price for the same condition at the same store suddenly shot up to $1070. What the hell?

But no free installation and only a select few have a vehicle to haul this thing. IF buying at costco B&M still offered the free install, the trouble to pick it up for those without a vehicle may still be worth it due to the extended 5 year warranty.

Cheapest rental would have to be at home depot $20 for 75 mins. The stars would have to align perfectly to keep that cost low $20 + refill gas meaning costco and home depot and your home close by to get it done all within an hour and thats a reach. I see a minimum of 2 to 2.5 hrs of your personal time. Having to go to home depot, pick up the rental, then go to costco, go inside, purchase, load, drop off tv at your house, fill gas tank, then drop off at home depot. Might have to be a 2 man game with a spouse to even make sure store has it or still has it if you call before hand because these are clearance and inventory is dwindling someone might pick it up while you are getting your rental.

But again, still worth it IF they still had the free wall install because the cheapest one could get to install this is MAYBE from an FB marketplace person for $100-150. At this size I've seen more of the latter price than the former though and why I dont question the $200+ from pros.

But yea if stars align for you meaning you have a vehicle to carry this already, you are a pro wall installer of 100" TVs or dont plan to wall install. Its the better deal

But for most of us, that 2 hour minimum of our time and more likely a $50-60 rental/gas, and the loss of $200+ free install service, there is no shame in getting it at the comfort of our seat for $1399

Sell the free 43" 4K for $100-150 to make the deal sweeter. Costco needs to lower theirs to $1400 shipped online to make it better.

You underestimate the irrational lengths I'll go to save a very small amount of money.

I am considering this TV. Will the drywall hold this thing?
I know there is free delivery and mounting but it does NOT include the mounting hardware, correct?
I am thinking I could probably get $150 for the free TV and bring my total to $1350 including tax which is pretty decent.

that TV was massive YMMV and has been for a while - so not a comparison for some.

Drywall alone wont hold even a smaller TV. You need to hit a stud or put a plate/plywood backing board to add support but you need to at least hit one stud,

Anyone use the closer to $100 full motion wall mounts?

Not so much to extend it regularly or permanently, but simply just on occasions to pull tv out to adjust cables and such.
