iPad Pro 11-inch, 2TB Wi-Fi (M4 chip) $1499.97 + $5 S&H

iPad Pro 13-inch, 2TB Wi-Fi (M4 chip) $1699.97 + $5 S&H
https://www.costco.com/ipad-pro-1...13991.html

$500 and $600 less than retail, and slightly less than the 1TB models.

Maybe only a buy if you want or need the extra storage? Apple with education discount is $400/$500 more but includes an Apple Pencil Pro or other accessory.

AppleCare+ is $14 cheaper at Costco ($115/$135).

The ios26 beta is a huge improvement over the prior os. Really makes it a viable device, finally. One advantage of the 1TB plus versions is the 16 gb of ram.

My god - $1500 for a useless iPad which can't do anything!! Spend that money on computer & you will actually get things done.

Yeah, once a device's price crosses about $500 -- they should really just give you a full desktop Operating System, not a mobile one.

Most Tablets are fine sub-$500, to be just little mobile fun devices.

But over $500, you can get some really capable laptops -- its insane they still limit the software you can use.

Yes they should. I had an M1 12.9 inch that I traded in for a 13 inch M4. Only reason I did was the huge weight reduction in the new one. At this point they are so fast that the only thing slowing them down is the operating system, the app you're using, or wifi. But overkill is the American way so bring on the M ludicrous speed chips.😂

I'd expect better deals on the base versions to show up in a few months with the M5 rumored to be coming this fall.

A deal on a lower tier M4 would be a decent buy since it should have support from Apple (for parts/battery replacements) for at least 5 years from when it's discontinued, through late 2030 or later. I'd expect iPadOS updates through 2032 or later.

The M4 Pros are the first of a new design (OLED screen, thinner, lighter), so I don't expect significant hardware updates for a while. The previous design was basically the same for four models in a row (2018-2022).

If the use is simply viewing things then yes, it's overpriced. But if for productivity in education, art, or music.. Apple has an edge over competitors. I have windows-based tablet like SP series but it pales in ease of use. And the pen is leap and bounds different. That shows the area of focus for companies mission.

Apple hasn't been innovative in last decade but for education the experience is different. I would say in particular art & music.
