I use an 18" 40v mower on about 5000 sqft and it's fine, the one I have mulches - it's litheli brand.
I can't speak for this particular mower but if it's similar to the litheli sans mulching, it could be fine for more than what you're saying here.

It's $100 in Chehalis Wa as of Aug 27. At $100 it is a good deal compared to other small, mostly plastic 24v to 40v mowers. The blade is metal, but it's about as thick as a kitchen knife, not a thick heavy blade. I worry this will get dull and bent quickly. the Blade is 16inch, deck is 17inch. The handlebars are thinner than better lawnmowers that cost $200 and up. Even the red plastic knobs and wheels seem thin. The batteries are large 6amps each. The mower motor surges when I hit heavier grass, this seems to be a feature of other mowers, tho I haven't seen any product info about this. Otherwise it is extremely quiet. My late summer grass today is rather thin, so most was no strain on the mower. This is not a mower you can run over sticks or heavy weeds. I do not want to hit a rock. Maybe the plastic deck will hold up to rocks, but my plan is to be extremely gentle with this mower.
