Did you know these lack many of the binding agents in a regular paint mixture? I definitely wouldn't use on a door with heavy traffic.

My front door and shutters were painted with a couple sample cans in 2016, and it still looks great today. Maybe I just got lucky so I updated the description to remove any recommendations as I'm not a pro painter. Big Grin

This is correct. You will use more of these color to go samples to apply the same coating power as the regular paint formula. The color to go samples also have less durability so fingerprints will show up or if you scrub your walls you risk removing the paint.

They actually switch out the samples with a cheaper version? Seems like a lot of trouble & expense. I guess a lot of people are using the quart samples for other things.....

No, it just isn't the full formula of paint with all additives for longevity.
