Like many cheap brands (other than Amazon Basics), the capacity claims are an outright lie.

Bought the Eneloop deal at Costco close to 10 years ago. Haven't bought a battery since.

First I thought it was a giant USB powered fan of some sort then realized the blades are batteries in an awful configuration

Got any other great decade-old expired deals you'd like to taunt us with?

Absolutely. Needlessly large, because when are you going to want to charge 8 AA and 8 AAA all at once?

I was looking at this awhile back. It's always this price. Reviews scared me away and I went with EBL charger.

I run a keyless household and each smart lock takes four AA batteries. Also we have about eighteen Luminara battery candles that come on at dusk (two batteries each), and they seem to go out all at once. So I usually charge eight to twelve at a time. Occasionally there is a perfect storm where I have to break out a second charger when I have over twenty to charge at once.

The charger doesn't really know what kind of battery you put in it, it just reads voltage. And stops charging based on voltage detected.

So if it see's they're above like 1.3v it will not charge them. A completely dead 1.5 maybe around 1v so maybe it charges a little bit (up to 1.2 or 1.3v).

To get the magic smoke to come out you'd need to put a regular duracell on it or something.
