Ehh i know its not as low as it used to be but seems like nvmes of this rank dont drop in price anymore since the inflation.

I definitely understand. I still feel like a loser for missing out on all the storage deals in 2023 though lol

How much were these back then?

I think I paid $89 for this drive back then, plus cash back on top of that. Regular 1 tb Nvme were easily had for $40 or less at the time.

In 2023 I bought one like this and put it in my ps5 because it was $80. My PC at the time had a 1tb nvme plus a 1tb ssd and a 4tb firecuda so I did not feel the need to get it a 2tb nvme. I wish I could justify this at the current price. Those drives are all still very healthy and no where near full.

Have a look at deal history, they are all dried up on these. Rare to have a good sale, so if you need a really good SSD you are pretty limited. If you cheap out and get a lower quality drive they are of course cheaper, still hitting as low as $80-$100 somewhat regularly.

Drives like this that are high quality with DRAM, not so much.

Maybe you should have budged if you were really in the market, no?
