The generic name for this type of crimper is Open Barrel Crimper. This one is worth the asking price, but not a lot more.

The Klein version is $45 and probably worth the extra cost. At least it would be for me. I've used this type of crimper for the past 9 years at work. There is a difference in quality.

The Klein Tools 3010CR MC4 Solar Ratcheting Crimper is $40 on Amazon. I trust Klein to make a solid crimp.
The solar connectors included in this kit are not Staubli MC4. One is not supposed to mix solar connectors from different brands as they may have different tolerances. A poor connection may lead to arcing and fire.
