If ordering this TV make sure to check messages on your Amazon account and emails and do not depend on the normal tracking button. We missed first email and delivery was postponed a week. They usually have one delivery day a week. At 7 pm on the delivery date a call was received indicating that there was a problem and the TV could not be delivered. The TV was ordered on June 26 and we have been informed there are no available delivery dates left for the month of July. As of now we have no idea when It may show up. I ordered a 65" Insignia in May and had no problem with Best Buy's shipping and delivery service.

I'm probably wasting my time here but here goes:

The LARGER the tv, the HIGHER quality you need to purchase because flaws in motion, color, and upscaling will be magnified!

These are good prices on decent TVs. They're not top of the line - they're thick, speakers suck, panels are basic and so not especially bright or sharp and will have unimpressive viewing angles - but they're fine. If you keep your expectations in check, you'll be happy enough.

What a person is most likely to notice is a laggy and lackluster OS experience. There is literally no such thing as a smart TV with a "good" app experience, just some that suck less than others. "Smart" TVs are somewhat subsidized by the integrated analytics and data harvesting. At the lower end of the spectrum (eg. these TVs), the hardware is almost certainly the bare minimum to harvest that data and the actual app performance will be poor. All of the streaming devices are collecting your data (unless you're like me and have units running LineageOS, and block analytics reporting at the router level), but at least those purpose-designed streamers perform their tasks adequately. If you don't already have a streamer, I suggest getting one if you get one of these TVs.

Is this a better value than the Insignia QF series that is on sale? $50 more gets a QLED display. Biggest issue with the F50 seems to be viewing angle. Is the QF any better with that?

This seems like it is pretty good quality and one of the best values for for LED. I'm interested in how it compares with the QLED displays, such as the QF series.

Really loved our Insignia TV until my kid threw a Wiimote into it and broke it.

However, the replacement was a Fire TV and I absolutely hate it. The UI is terrible. It's a pain to configure, and it's not nearly as smart as our Roku TV or the older Insignia it replaced. For example, it won't mute/unmute the receiver (and took forever to even get it to do volume and on/off).

I've always bought 'dumb' TVs. I guess I don't even know if they're made anymore. Just always used a plug-in device like a Roku or FireTV box or stick. I'm guessing that's a way better way to go, smart TV or not.
