Do you post this on the Sams Club/Costco/BJs deals or What about every Amazon Prime deal under $20 where a membership is required? The instore YMMV deals? With veterans being 5%+ of the population maybe you can't get on it but someone who you know may be able to take advantage of it. If I see a deal I can't get but it tells me that it's available near someone I know who may take advantage, I let them know.

Veterans account for about 6% of the US population--add to that dependents and those currently serving. So probably more than .0000001%...

That's a silly question. FYI some slickdealer are veterans and can take advantage. Sucks that you're hurt about that...

Back to wondering if I should get this and sell off my 2021 MBP M1 as I am definitely NOT a power user.

Apple generally provides OS updates to their Macs for 7-8 years. Your M1 MBP should be covered until 2028. Yours has better speakers and display than the Air. The Air is great for portability (lighter) and has no fans (no intake and exhaust vents).

Thanks!! I will likely just keep it until it's no longer supported then.

I'm always having friends asking me if I could buy something for them.

How long does it take to apply and get approval for an account on the exchange?

It would have been great if this was 512GB or 1 TB. Need something to replace my MBP mid-2009 that just died, the indicator light for the charger doesn't even come on.
Would this be an overkill for my two middle schoolers? Or can someone recommend something else, HP? TIA 🌺

I don't disagree with your overall point, but there's a chasmic difference between something *anyone* can sign up for to partake in and something that you can't.
Understood- there is quite a big difference between the memberships and Exchange access. I guess for context I should clarify I was referring to distance as well. While I was lucky while it lasted to have a Fry's electronics within 150 miles of me I don't have a Menards, a BJ's, an Aldi, or microcenter within 500 miles. So any deal there is mostly useless to me, though I do alert family nearby if it is good enough.A civilian aunt works for AFFES, and many family members have earned privileges the standard ways as well. I let em know even though I personally can't hop on this deal.

I have never had a problem with cancellations or anything like that with any of the Exchange sites. Always great deals and fast shipping, especially with the Military Star Card.

Why post deals that only .0000001% of slickdealers can take advantage of?

Not my problem you cannot. I can and that's all that matters.

I had this issue not too long ago, there's a fraud and risk department that only works like once a week. The regular customer support is useless when it comes to this and they'll keep bouncing you back and forth to different extensions. I'll look for the extension and update this post when I find it. My account was put on hold because I used my spouse's credit card instead of mine. The rep on the phone explained to me that while I can order for other people, the card used to make the order still needs to be mine.

I've used my mom's account to buy stuff for myself, paid using my own credit card and shipped to me

That's probably impossible to implement.

I was able to do this too, maybe if the purchases reaches a certain quantity is the time you get flagged
