I have a Ryobi version and rarely use it. Just not very useful for me

I'm using Stihl, perfect for trimming my shrubs and some conner grass. Don't buy Ryobi, it's garbage!

I got last years model for $33. https://a.co/d/0AOn5bF
I have used this and the stihl and the stihl was better and seemed stronger. But the Stihl is $200. The price difference wasn't worth it to me.

Last year model has built-in battery vs OP can use batteries shared with other Worx tools.

I have this and the shrub trimmer is weak, only good for certain types of soft shrubs with no hard branches or just soft leaf areas. Disappointing. Don't expect it to be anywhere near as strong as a larger hedge trimmer.

That is not "last year's model". It is a cheap generic "workpro".

I do. It's great for trimming in places that need more precision than a string trimmer. I also use it to prune smaller things.

Or for less than $10 more you can get the full sized Worx hedge trimmer.

Which will save you a ton of time at 22" vs this at 8".

I bought the Bauer version of this from Harbor Freight for $38 with a Ridgid battery power adapter ($20) off of Amazon. I kind of like the idea of leveraging my 18V Ridgid battery collaection to use Bauer tools. Might be an option for folks who are invested in other ecosystems.
I am guessing I will really put this to test next spring when I shape up all of my azaleas and gardenias but it seems like it will fit the bill.

These are more suitable for cases where precision helps.

Lots of adapters available for the Ridgid 18V battery. There is one for Worx 20V tools as well. Sometimes you are limited to using only the low profile batteries.
