i've been connecting my Eufy cameras to this homebase 3 for about 5 months. Cameras randomly disconnect from hombase, they work fine when connecting directly to wifi. I plan to sell it on ebay soon.

I think the reason why the disconnections is because the cameras and doorbell are too far away from the homebase unit. Only like two of the cameras were able to use your wifi mesh setup. I have two cameras connected by wifi to the homebase unit and never have problems. My C31 doorbell is far away and have problems directly connected to the base without wifi. The good news is the app update this morning now has support for my doorbell to be connected to the base using my mesh setup. Hopefully now with a better signal. I won't have problems with my doorbell.

If you have Eufy HomeBase 2, the move to Homebase 3 is amazing. The AI learning function with faces and connecting multiple cameras in an area is great as it stitches the various clips together. It's a huge upgrade. Arlo user until Netgear sold it off, Eufy ever since
This is the best free security system. There are no monthly fees, and the cameras work perfectly. I have 4 cameras at home and I have no complaints. 100% recommended. Good luck 👍
Does anyone have slow video playing when using the Homebase 3? I get a delay (spinning circle) until the video appears and sometimes I have to refresh the page until the videos appear.
Got the Homebase 3, I like that you can small laptop size hard drives or SSDs to it. Dislike that it's disconnected a few times on me with no warning / notice in the app, and mixed device status info.
The annoyance is that it only records 1080p, for 2k/4k Eufy cameras, you still need local storage to view events in higher res., which kind of defeats the purpose of having a nas disk to write to. This is basically an RSTP DVR except with less visibility into wtf is going on when it disconnects.
If you add this homebase 3 to your setup and the distance between your cameras and Homebase is far just make sure to switch to your local wifi Within the Homebase 3 settings, this helps tremendously. If the cameras are too far away just switch to Wifi only. Have done my own testing and this HB3 is really only capable of running around 6 devices max before it starts dropping wifi signal. Especially if you use continuous recording.
Eufy cameras and support has fallen way down. Random camera disconnections, app taking long times to open notifications, draining battery on android phones, cameras that don't auto switch to night vision and app opening alerts when you click on a specific camera.
Also, direct line your homebase 3 for the best connection. I connect my cameras to wifi and they find the hb3 there. Plus I picked up a router that reaches decent wifi into my backyard for my spotlight camera.

My doorbell's mic sounds distorted and delayed after upgrading from 2 to 3. Eufy sent me 3 doorbells, and they all had the same problem. They sent me another HB3, and it had the same problem. They don't know what the problem is, and neither do I. With that being said, I can't recommend this.
