I'm in the Vine program. FWIW we here in the US don't actually get these for "free" per se, we have to pay income tax on the item's value, so it's actually more like a steep discount.

There are some bad eggs of course, but the majority of Vine reviewers leave honest reviews because we select what we need/want and test accordingly. It's pretty easy to weed out and ignore who the lazy ones are though, with one line reviews, or regurgitating the specs, or clearly AI generated text.

Exactly—and to add to that, it's income tax which for most of us is quite a bit higher than sales tax, and it's based on the item's full, often inflated, value, not the discounted price after a 50% coupon, edited to add: Also, no warranty or ability to return the item.

According to project farm, some starters are capable of starting a dead dead battery.

I have to plead ignorance - I know next to nothing about cars, and only took 1 electrical engineering class in college, and that was a long time ago - can someone please explain to me like I'm 5 years old why/how this one is better than the "AstroAI S8 Car Battery Jump Starter, 1500A Peak Car Jumper Starter Battery Pack for Up to 6.0L Gas & 3.0L Diesel Engines" that was recently on sale?

I get that 3000A > 1500A, but i dont really know what type of impact that would have (I drive a camry).

Thank you to anyone kind enough to take pity on me.

I got my S8 and it is tiny. The S8 Pro is just slightly wider. Even the small gauge jumper wires and clamp are the same. The only AstroAI I think is worth while is the S8 Ultra but kinda doubt the only decent one goes on sale like this. I have a tired 8 year old jumper that is way better than the S8 and S8 Pro. My old pack will start a car with a completely flat battery and this unit won't. Maybe you can jump start a cell phone with it.

I own few of these from random brands. it works for me.

initially bought it because gf's Honda Fit has tiny battery. dome light overnight was kill it for sure.

I have one in my car, her car, my bosses car, friends car.... it's all good.

- battery holds good charge. I check my level about 2-3 months.

- With full charge, I can jump 2-3 times. so once it is used, I will charge it.

- It has voltage meter.

-It's color corded and easy to use ( even my gf who does not really get cars, can jump it on her own )

Has LED light... USB charging port


Just using it once will pay for the item. saved about 3-4 strainded cars on parking lots. Jumped mini van, suv, passanger car.

I got the smaller one on the deal a coupl months ago. It's started my 5.4L F250 twice with no issues. Also, jumped a Silverado, Camry, an accord helping other people out. I've filled multiple tires easily. It gets hot filling a tire, but that's after a good amount of time continuously pumping air out. I love my astroai jumper

I purchased an AstroAI "2000A 12v 8-in-1" jump starter 2 years ago (according to Amazon, NLA). It was on sale and I didn't have high expectations, but that thing is a champ. Started many cars and trucks almost effortlessly over that time, and sat in my trunk for months between uses. I just used it yesterday for a flooded Harley - extended cranking killed the onboard battery but the jump pack worked great. Obviously sample size is small, and maybe I'm an anomaly, but I'm impressed. I'm buying a few more to keep one in each car.
