This budget keyboard has Hot swappable switches, which is a big plus for when time comes to replace after spilling coffee inside. I'm tempted but decided to build my own cyberdeck with rotary encoders since I have some artistic endeavors such as beat smithing and graphics (wrinkles mustache).

I bought a redragon at MicroCenter and it's actually pretty decent for the price. Got it for work and it's noisy by oh well.

They go on sale sometimes for pretty cheap and always seem to have a couple that are open box.

Blue Switches FTMFW

I have the Red Dragon K580 VATA keyboard w/blue switches and love it.

Edit: I don't use a keyboard for gaming . I use an ancient Belkin N50 instead.

if you don't like noisy keyboards, I would recommend a magnetic hall sensor switch keyboard

I got my 5 year old the blues. Either is good. Really happy with Redragon, the keyboard just having basic letters/numerals is great for learning.

honestly the loss of the arrow keys is a bigger deal to me, personally. i started using these reduced footprint keyboards and wound up learning top row better than 9-key, and can't stop doing it even on full-size boards. i will never get used to multi-key directional keys though
